Aroma: Dry,Woody Usage: B/V/PR/P/M Often called West Indian Sandalwood, although not from the same family, Amyris is mainly used as a cheaper alternative to East Indian Sandalwood in perfumery as a fixative. A relaxing oil, useful in meditation.
Aroma: Sweet, Spicy, Slightly Musky Usage: B/V/PR/P/M/UV/DB Add to CartUsed since antiquity and revered for its virtues, angelica is fortifying and the Chinese often employ it second only to Ginseng, where angelica root is known as Dong Kwai. Useful for everyday stress and to ease a tired body and mind promoting a feeling of balance and revitalisation.

fortifying to body and mind. Clears the head and helps
refresh the mind allowing concentration, strength and
clarity.
Aroma : Sweet, warm, vanilla like Usage: B/V/M/PR/SS
This scented gum, best known in the West as a key ingredient of Friars
Balsam, benzoin has been used for thousand of years in the East. Used in elixirs particularly for its heating and drying effects on
cold and damp conditions. A very warming, relaxing and nurturing oil to use
in times of confusion and worry. Useful for dry, chapped and cracked skin
helping to increase elasticity.
Aroma: fresh, citrus, spicy Usage: B/M/V/D/S/P/UV Relaxing, refreshing and uplifting. Excellent for pre-exam nerves (coupled with Rescue Remedy). Use for oily & blemished skin. Bergamot is used to flavour
Earl Grey tea. In Napoleonic times it was a popular perfume and is key ingredient in Eau de Cologne. A wonderful cheering
oil, use if SAD!
Aroma: woody, warm, spicy Usage: B/M/V/HO/SS Warms and stimulates, a penetrating oil used to relax tired muscles and maintain suppleness after strenuous exercise.
Aroma: herbaceous, warm Usage: B/M/V/C/S Soothing and relaxing on mind and body. Ideal to inhale during high pollen count. A gentle oil suitable for the fragile and the young. N.B. Chamomile Maroc is not a substitute for either Chamomile Roman or Blue (German).
Aroma: bittersweet, nutty, musky & slightly spicy Usage: B/M/V/PR
Ultra
relaxing (some say "euphoric") a powerful oil which promotes a feeling of
well-being. Can induce very dramatic and colourful dreams. Cheap wines
were often adulterated with clary sage to make them taste like muscatel with
disastrous results - clary sage mixed with alcohol can have a narcotic
effect. Massage on muscles and abdomen before and during menstruation.
Use in final rinse water after shampooing for greasy hair and dandruff.
Aroma: fresh, woody Usage: B/M/V/S/FB/PR Refreshing and toning. An astringent oil which helps balance oily skin and a natural deodorant useful for sweaty feet. Massage in areas to increase circulation and where there are visible veins, cellulite and fluid retention.
Aroma: strong, camphoraceous Usage: B/M/V/D/HO/SS A powerful antiseptic traditionally inhaled for relief during the cold season. Clearing and soothing. Use in chest rubs or in a burner in the sick room. Effective in massage blends for muscular fatigue.
Aroma: Lemony - verbena like Usage: B/HO/M/PR/SS/V/UV
Eucalyptus
staigeriana is a very gentle (hence suitable
for children) and relaxing oil and can help with everyday aches and pains.
Aroma: spicy, warm Usage: B/M/V/S Used in skincare for rejuvenating qualities, excellent for mature skin. Deeply relaxing, aids meditation (often used in churches). A comforting and uplifting oil - a "hug in a bottle". Warming during the cold season.
Aroma: fresh, floral, sweet Usage: B/M/V/P/S Balances extremes of emotion, normalising mood swings. Excellent in skin care for all skin types.
Aroma: sharp, fresh, zesty Usage: B/M/V/SS Revitalises, soothes and uplifts the emotions. Use in massage where there is cellulite.
Aroma: floral, exotic Usage: B/M/V/P/PR/S A relaxing and sensual oil which uplifts and is beneficial to boost confidence and self-esteem.
Aroma: woody, medicinal Usage: B/M/V/D/PR Cleansing and fortifying to the mind. Promotes increased circulation encouraging the elimination of toxins and cellulite.
Aroma: fresh, floral Usage: B/M/V/C/D/FB/P/PR/S Relaxes, soothes, restores and balances. Eases tired muscles and balances head tension. Add one or two drops to a pillow before peaceful sleep. Can be used neat in skincare - one or two drops only. The rejuvenating and antiseptic qualities of this highly versatile oil are well documented.

Aroma: fresh, grassy-citrus Usage: B/M/V/IR/SS Refreshing and stimulating. Antiseptic and astringent properties. Excellent after strenuous exercise to help prevent muscle stiffness. Popular oil for use in burners.
Aroma: warm, woody, spicy Usage: B/M/V/PR This fortifying oil was used by the ancient Egyptians and the 1st Century Greek physician Dioscorides made an ointment "amaricimum" to warm and strengthen the nerves. Eases muscles after exercise and an aid to peaceful sleep. Massage on abdomen during menstruation. Reputedly an anaphrodisiac (the opposite to an aphrodisiac!!).
Aroma: warm, floral, sweet Usage: B/M/V/P/S Relaxing and uplifting. This exquisite sensual fragrance of orange blossom is deeply relaxing to the mind, helping to dispel anxiety and increase confidence. Excellent for dry and/or ageing skin or thread veins, encouraging new cell growth.
Aroma: Sweet, floral, slightly dry Usage: B/M/P/S Palmarosa is a scented tropical grass from the same family as lemongrass and citronella but due its high geraniol content has a gentle aroma somewhere between geranium and rose. Its greatest use is that of a valuable skincare oil which hydrates and stimulates the skin and helps to balance sebum production. Use for both dry skin and blemished skin . It helps to tone crepey skin on the neck and is good for mature skin too! This underrated beauty oil has been used in ayurvedic medicine against fevers and infectious diseases. Helps to refresh and clarify the mind, helping stressful lifestyles.
Aroma: musky, exotic Usage: B/M/V/P/S Ideal in oil burners for its long lasting seductive aroma. Soothing and uplifting. Helps prevent dry, chapped or cracked skin.
Aroma: strong, minty Usage: B/M/V/FB/IR/HO/PR/SS Cooling, refreshing, stimulating and uplifting, Traditionally used for calming digestive properties. Excellent in a footbath to soothe tired feet. Clears a stuffy head. Useful in a burner during study and concentration.
Aroma: floral, sweet Usage: B/M/V/P/S Relaxing and soothing. Similar properties to Neroli - both oils obtained from the bitter orange tree. Excellent in skincare.
Aroma: cool, green, peppery Usage: B/C/M/V/PR/S Used extensively in Thailand for pain relief rubs & balms. You can also use this neat. Great for aches and pains in joints, nerves & muscles.
Aroma: Floral, light Usage: B/M/V/P/PR/S Rejuvenating, soothing and cleansing. An exquisitely feminine oil which is excellent in skincare for dry, mature and ageing skin.
Aroma: strong, herbaceous Usage: B/M/V/E/FB/HB/HO/PR Reviving, stimulating and clearing. Refreshing to the mind, aiding concentration. Excellent for tired muscles and weary feet. Gives hair a healthy shine.
Aroma: woody, musky, sweet Usage: B/M/V/P/S Soothing and relaxing. Excellent skincare oil for dry and ageing skin. Used in aftershave.
Aroma: mild, orange Usage: B/M/V/C Uplifting and relaxing. A gentle oil suitable for young and fragile. A vibrant and fresh aroma.
Aroma: strong, medicinal Usage: B/M/V/D/IR/S/SS Powerful antiseptic and anti-fungal oil. Useful during the cold season in baths. Use in burners in the sick room. Add to face wash for skin cleansing. Add to a gargle or mouthwash. Use to clean surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom. Kills MRSA at 5% dilution.
Aroma: floral, exotic Usage: B/M/V/P/S Relaxing and balancing. Known as the Flower of Flowers this sensual oil soothes and uplifts. Use in skincare for all skin types. Used in perfumery as contains all notes: top, middle and base.
