Colic - 100% natural remedy
for baby.....
If
baby is suffering from colic try this remedy which helps to
reduce gastrointestinal pain, gas and abdominal spasms.
Make up a blend of chamomile roman UK in a base such as almond
or coconut oil and massage on baby's tummy in a CLOCKWISE
direction (use 1 drop for every tablespoon of base oil - 15mls) - apply half an hour
before feeding.
Safe to use from birth, try this external option and you can
also try chamomile or fennel tea.
Babies love massage - the power of touch is really
important and can help you bond even more with your baby.
A gentle and soothing blend of organic essential oils of
Lavender and Camomile in a sweet almond base, created for
massaging babies (from 8 weeks old) and children

Our new
ORGANIC aromatherapy massage & body oils are already diluted for you to use
directly on the skin, in the bath or as a body oil, choice of 10
blends, including Clary Sage for women, Detox, Massage Balm and
Camomile
Regular massage with this blend can help to keep baby relaxed. This
gentle blend is also particularly suitable for the elderly and for
those with sensitive skin.
To protect & moisturise baby, use coconut
oil every day, all over the body. As with sunflower oil
which has been proven to help prevent infection in premature
babies, using coconut oil, which has even stronger antibacterial
and antiviral properties will help create a natural barrier to
infection and keep the skin soft and supple. Coconut oil
contains lauric acid (up to 50%) which is the constituent in
breast milk which helps strengthen the immune system. We
do not recommend using talcum powder as it can block pores and
can irritate lungs if breathed in large quantities, the jury is
still out on a link between ovarian cancer - the regulatory
bodies say its safe but other studies suggest otherwise.
Allowing the body to breathe and keeping it moisturised with
100% natural ingredients* is the best way of protecting your precious
baby - its great for you too! Coconut Oil is
also great to clear up cradle cap, simply allow to seep into the
scalp and use a fine toothed comb to get rid of scales.....
*you may be shocked when you
read the ingredients on a baby product marked "natural" or
"pure", try it - read the label then look up what it is!
Balm
Balm Baby Baml is an ultra gentle, multipurpose blend of natural
oils and waxes, to soothe even the most delicate of skin. Use to

How to reduce the chances of
stretchmarks during Pregnancy.
Having had my first baby at
the ripe old age of 42, I would have thought my skin's
elasticity would be shot. Having put on nearly 3 stone and
nearly all out front, I can happily report that not a single
stretchmark was evident! (Ok my belly is a bit bigger but it was
s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d to the limit!). Some say this is
genetic, I am not sure about that as I did rapidly put on weight
and lose it in my teens and got stretchmarks.
I used Jojoba oil or
unrefined Wheatgerm oil at night and rubbed all over the body
from the thighs up to the top of the breasts. For a non
greasy base during the day I used Vitamin E Cream. (Until
I got to a very itchy stage and was prescribed good old E45
cream - prescription charges free during pregnancy and got
through a couple of 500ml tubs, thankyou NHS!). Of course
if i had known about the wonderful properties of virgin c oconut
oil I would have used that instead!
If you don't
want to make your own try our new Organic Stretchmark Blend with
neroli (orange blossom).
With the
sweet and lively aromas of Neroli and Mandarin this blend can
help to uplift the mind and reduce anxiety. Can be used in the
latter stages of pregnancy to help prevent stretchmarks.
It may be used to help heal old stretchmarks from either
previous pregnancies or teenage growth spurts.
This oil may be used as a body oil, both moisturizing in effect
and beneficial to health - we have a choice of 10 blends
including a baby blend.

Your Own Blend!
If its too late for you and
you already have either a c-section scar* or stretchmark you can
use Rosehip Oil which is high in vitamin E and rub in daily to
the affected area to help diminish scarring & stretchmarks.
For new scars -
Immortelle (also known as
Helichrysum or Everlasting) - 15 drops
Rose hip oil - 15 ml
Hazelnut oil - 15 ml
Apply this mixture to the
wounds two times a day for about 10 to 20 days.
For old unsightly scars you
will need to apply this mixture to the wounds two times a day
for 3 to 6 months.
This recipe is from
"Advanced Aromatherapy - The Science of Essential oil Therapy"
by Kurt Schnaubelt, Ph.D. Other oils which you could add
are neroli (which makes for a divine smelling blend) and
frankincense. The above blend is 30ml and as a general
rule in aromatherapy use half the number drops of essential to
carrier oil (15 drops in 30ml base). So if you are adding
neroli or frankincense, reduce the number of drops of
helichrysum
**Before
using on any scar or deep wound please consult your physician.
Do not apply essential oils to surgery sites that still have
stitches or tape in place.**
We do not recommend using
ANY essential oils during pregnancy to be on the safe side (just
leading up to the labour is fine though providing you are under
the supervision of an aromatherapist or using those advised for
labour).
