It is important when first lighting a candle to ensure that all of the wax on top liquefies across the whole candle to prevent tunnelling of the wax and reduction of burn time . So, the first time you light the candle, please ensure that you allow at least one hour burning time to do this on the larger candles, this will create a burn "memory" with the candle.
